Opulent Wanderlust
The Opulent Wanderlust, Is a multi-form expression of color, texture, and movement with the intention of distilling new tensions from combinations of materials. From couture designer to indigenous attire, the aesthetic speaks to the present with an echo of the past, from the collector to the viewer. As traditional attire becomes reconfigured through eclectic and unconventional combinations, the collection allows the viewer to gather clues to the possibilities of fashion in the illusionary nature of our postmodern life. Through frock and frippery, shifting forms become clarified and new variations are created which express the trappings of our obsession with expressive apparel and explore more deeply the relationship between consumerist fetishism and true couture experiences.Fashions provided by Hi-Bred Vintage Clothing.
